About Us

A few years ago, when working for another Estate Agent, I was out valuing a house for a client when we got onto the subject of marketing. He turned round and said “well, it doesn’t really matter because all Estate Agents are the same”.

I considered this statement for some while and it became the catalyst for me to set up Alistair Redhouse Estate Agents because I felt there were better alternative ways of professionally selling properties, particularly with the use of the latest technology.

With a team of like-minded property professionals I set about creating an agency that utilised and embraced modern technology and systems to deliver an efficient, time saving, highly personal and considered service to our customers.

Our opening in the spring of 2012 was believed by some to be a risky move due to the difficulties the housing market was experiencing at that time. But far from struggling we survived and thrived.

Why was this?........

We put our heart and soul into everything ensuring that our marketing, communications and perseverance are second to none. We grew to where we are today not through a corporate size budget but through recommendation by word of mouth.

Meet Our Team

Alistair has been an estate agent for since 1999: As a junior negotiator with a corporate agency he consistently won “sales agent of the month”. He moved to a local independent as their Sales Manager and gained experience of working off his own initiative. Alistair has always believed in hard work which is why he frequently sells properties other agents have failed to sell. Alistair enjoys sailing and 5 a side football in his rare spare time.

Mark joined the company in 2012 and is now Head of Residential Sales. After starting his agency career with a large London firm before moving to the independent sector in Oxford. He joined us with his sights set on of growing with an ambitious company.

Robert started post university as a Saturday person but he soon showed an aptitude for the business and has now been a valuable full time member of the team since 2013. Robert is recently married, lives locally and can be seen in various drama productions in the region. He takes his professional development very seriously, regularly completing sales related courses.

Carole, Alistair’s mother, takes on responsibility for the back office side of things and is the contact when it comes to accounts matters. Carole has always been passionate about property and the need to offer an excellent, transparent service. Her hobbies include dog agility and amateur dramatics.

Adam joined us from a local corporate agency to head up the lettings department. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to give advice to both existing landlords and those at the start of their investment journey.

Susan joined the company in September 2015 to assist with the administration in our ever growing lettings department. She is highly efficient and has developed a great rapport with our landlords and tenants. Susan lives in the village with her husband and two children.

What you get:

You will get a free valuation/market appraisal of your property from a trained and qualified property professional.

You will get a true, considered, market valuation.

A marketing plan will be set out following discussions and agreement about strategy 

Your property will be advertised on all the major property websites and in the local newspaper. In addition, through our membership of The Guild of Property Professionals, your property will have exposure nationally, including our Park Lane office in London.

Our phone lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday & Sunday, when you will be able to speak to a senior member of staff and not simply a person in a call centre. In addition we are always monitoring our emails.

Viewings will be accompanied by trained negotiators.

Feedback on all viewings will be given in detail and swiftly.

We will negotiate the highest possible price for your property.

Once a sale is agreed an experienced professional will ensure that the legal process goes smoothly and you are well informed throughout.


What you will NOT get:

You will not get an up-front marketing fee.

You will not get under qualified, inexperienced staff handling your sale.

You will not be tied into a minimum term nor have an excessive notice period – we are confident that you will be happy with our service and will choose to remain with us.
